Last Sunday we all met for Jeannine's birthday celebration at everyone family fun place, Belmont Race Track? Yes, a place where kids can have fun, play and learn the rules of handicapping the ponies.
The kids picked the "winners" and we placed the bets. Karen started off with a big win of a $1.00 on the first race, money she "borrowed" from Drew while he was on the swing set. Violet kept betting on number 2 because she's two, a very reasonable strategy I thought. Aida bet on Mrs. Guacamole, one of her favorite foods, to win but no such luck. One winning ticket almost wasn't honored due to the mass amounts of chocolate ice cream on it but in the end Baba collected the cash.
All in all it was a very fun day at "The Park"!
