CHRISTMAS DAY...FINALLY!

Here are some pictures from Christmas day. The whole family was there and some "extended" family as well. Fred, Heidi, Harriette and Joon joined us as well as two of my friends Susan and Gabriele.

The Cavanaugh's arrived first so we had to block the door to the basement to keep Drew from sneaking down. Santa put all of the kids gifts in the new play room downstairs. Once the Fraser's arrived it was game on! Violet was still a little sleepy from the drive over so she was slow to open her gifts. Duncan actually went downstairs with an empty bag in anticipation of filling it up with toys.

When we were little Nonna made us doll houses and they have been in the basement all this time. I suggested that Lynn remodel one for Aida and Violet. Well, remodel was an understatement! Lynn went crazy, she took down all the old wallpaper and floors. She made curtains and put up crown molding. She made more furniture and shingled the roof. It is amazing! Aida was so excited when she saw it she froze right up. It took her awhile to start playing with it.

After the gift wrap had cleared it was back upstairs for some eatin'. We had Mama Leoni's shrimp and cavatzone to start. Then there was the first course lobster ravioli in a brown butter sage sauce. For dinner MJ made multiple wellingtons due to non meat eaters. She made turkey wellington for Heidi and me, tuna wellington for Kevin and Susan and beef wellington for everyone else. We also had rosemary mashed potatoes and string beans almondine. Delicious!

Another great Christmas!

Good Bye!
